William Glendower White, born 7 Aug 1790. Lieutenant Fireworker 8 Apr 1808; Lt 9 Apr 1808, Captain Lieutenant 22 Jun 1814, Capt 1 Sep 1818, Major 28 Sep 1820, Lt Col 1 Jan 1833. Mahratta War 1817-18; capture of Poona 16 Nov 1817; capture of Kittoor, Dec 1824; o.c Arty Doab Field Force 1826; o.c Arty, Northern Division 1833-34. Transferred to corps of Native Invalids 15 May 1834, retd 8 Jul 1834. Died 24 Jan 1863 in England.

William married Antoinette Catherine Louise Françoise Jeanne Mirthe DOUYÈRE, daughter of Antoine Prosper DOUYÈRE and Jeanne Tarsille Therence Adam JAMS. (Antoinette Catherine Louise Françoise Jeanne Mirthe DOUYÈRE was born on 14 Sep 1795 in Saint-Denis, Isle Bourbon and died in 1833 in Ahmedabad, Bombay presidency.)
