Her "WILL" was written while she was residing in the City & Borough of Winchester in the County of Southampton, England in 1837.
Emilie returned to India after writing her "WILL" in 1837.
Interesting----She left -Plantation Land and Estate with erections and buildings belonging with the appurtenances situated in the Island of Bourbon and also other lands and real estate.
Hmm --you will need to read the "WILL" for yourself.
She left her estate to the children of her husband Henry Downes niece Jane Nott nee Sheppard.

Emilie married Henry DOWNES, son of Henry DOWNES and Nancy BUTLER, on 6 Feb 1811 in Saint-Denis, Ile de la Réunion. (Henry DOWNES was born on 1 Oct 1779 in Charleville, Irlande and died on 27 Jul 1832.)
